Located on No. 168 Jalan Anson, The Penang Buddhist Association was built in the late Straits Eclectic style by a group of Straits Chinese Buddhists in 1931. The interior's single vast hall has a vaulted ceiling over a central elevated altar with a seated Buddha and standing figures. The side walls have chapels built into them and the floor tiles form lotus patterns.
